Project:  Career and Technical Education Pilot Project

Purpose of Project:  This project seeks to increase access to and participation by students with developmental disabilities into community technical education programs by implementing a new model of programming and support, the Individualized Occupational Certificate.  The VSI Project, in cooperation with the West Virginia Department of Education, will develop pilot programs that while being competency based to meet industry standards, are more flexible academically, person-centered, and focused on specific skills acquisition necessary for entry level employment.
